About IQAC



IQAC: 'nternal Quality Assurance Cell' that works towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. It is a facilitative and participative organ of the Institute. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system that improves the overall performance of the Institute of removing the deficiencies and enhancing the quality.

Both as a part of regulatory requirement and as a part of best practices, TIIPS has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell to drive quality processes. The Cell has been established as per norms of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (an autonomous institution of the University Grants Commission) to take quality initiatives for improving academic and administrative performance of the institution. The members of the Cell are drawn from various stakeholder groups including senior faculty, Institute administration, Industry experts, students, and civil society members. Meetings of the IQAC are chaired by the Chairman and the decisions are executed by the Director. Some of the major purposes of IQAC include development and application of quality parameters and organization of activities relating to the enhancement of educational quality. The Cell is engaged in evolving mechanisms for timely, efficient and progressive performance of the various academic and administrative units of the institute. The Cell also undertakes periodic academic review of the various departments in which specific measures for quality improvement are suggested and implemented. The Cell plays a key role in promoting a quality culture in the Institute. The Cell conducts faculty and staff development programmes, workshops and expert lectures from time to time to train faculty and students for enhancing quality of education and student support services.

Major Functions of IQAC:

  • Development of Quality Culture in the institution.
  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities.
  • Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
  • Realistic assessment of quality of academics.
  • Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.
  • Enhancing the creditability of evaluation procedures.
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
  • Arrangement for feedback from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
  • Dissemination of information on various quality parameters.
  • Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes.
  • Acting as a nodal agency for coordinating quality-related activities including adoption and dissemination of best practices.

Quality Assurance Channels

The factors of quality measure are assessed through different channels. The monitoring of various quality parameters and review is an essential part to ensure quality among them. A continuous review and analysis of these measures is done through various channels. A system is established to gather these views for the overall enhancement. The channels of quality assurance involve Students feedbacks, faculty views on course reviews, external examiners, parents’ teachers’ meetings, industry feedbacks, employers’ feedbacks, alumni’s feedback etc.
